MATRANDA

Smart Data System

Machine data processing and monitoring with the Matranda smart system

When it comes to assessing data from equipment and machines.

Matranda relieves the user by means of a smart system, and adjusts the system itself through an advanced control system. The user is automatically informed by the smart system. Equipment and machine parameters are linked together to improve operating conditions.

Some important tasks that can be performed by the smart system are:

  • Identifying problems in production lines, machines, measuring equipment, and all processes.
  • Predicting when maintenance is required, and predicting which part needs to be replaced.
  • Eliminating wasteful downtime. Reducing unexpected failures.
  • Remote condition monitoring, by tracking machine, device parameters and KPI's (Key Performance Indicators).
  • Monitoring and controlling machines and devices.

The Matranda smart system offers the manufacturer  to optimize compatible parts/devices. This means that periodic service can take place in the most efficient way as possible.

The future is Smart Industry, also better known as Industry 4.0.

Smart Industry or also Industry 4.0 is the name for a trend of automation and data exchange used in industrial manufacturing techniques.

It consists of autonomous cyber-physical production systems, the systems that can partially or completely take over our thinking process (cognitive computing).

Smart Industry or Industry 4.0 makes what is called a "smart factory". Within these smart factories, machines are linked and read out, so that a good insight can be obtained into what really happens in the factory and the processes can be optimized faster. This creates new opportunities in the value chain, because lead times can be shortened and work can be done more efficiently. One will try to avoid typing information from one software system to another software system.

In the field of service, too, systems are being created that will predict maintenance work. When introducing such systems, a distinction is made between horizontal and vertical integration. Horizontal integration concerns the digitization of order processes, such as requests, quotations, orders, insight into production progress and invoicing. Vertical integration concerns the integration of information flows from the shop floor to the executive office.

Matranda makes smart industry possible

It was quite a challenge for Matranda to fully roll out Industry 4.0 for manufacturing processes. The biggest challenge came from IoT equipment that communicated wirelessly with the internet. From 2024, these IoT devices will have to meet very strict requirements. To limit cyber attacks, manufacturing processes will have to run completely autonomously. That is why Matranda has decided to disconnect the entire network from the internet, by only using components that can be connected directly to the factory network. The Matranda system can therefore run completely independently.

Matranda offers the solution to all these problems. To turn every industry into a smart industry, and thus to provide Industry 4.0.

But with a complete package that can be rolled out in your company and even worldwide.
